Description
This product is an essential set for the aquascaper, whilst using a high-viscosity, fast-setting cyanoacrylate gel adhesive with a pack of precision tips. The thick gel consistency prevents the adhesive from running, making it ideal for vertical or underwater applications. The precision tips ensure controlled, economical, and targeted application, particularly useful for attaching delicate or small plant fragments.
The adhesive is generally recognised as aquarium-safe and is commonly used to secure plants, moss, and delicate structures without introducing harmful chemicals into the aquatic environment once cured.

Key Benefits for Aquascaping
- Aquarium Safe: Cures rapidly into an inert, non-toxic material that is safe for fish, shrimp, and aquatic plants.
- Gel Formula: The high viscosity prevents dripping and running, allowing the user to work precisely, even when attaching items vertically or in tricky positions.
- Precision Control: The eight included micro-tips allow for extremely fine application. This is crucial for securing small portions of moss (e.g., Christmas or Java Moss) or single, small aquatic plants (e.g., Anubias nana petite or Bucephalandra) onto driftwood or rockwork.
- Instant Bonding: Creates a strong, waterproof bond almost instantly upon contact with moisture, significantly speeding up the aquascaping process.
-
Versatile Use: Excellent for attaching:
- Mosses and Riccia to hardscape.
- Rhizome plants (Anubias, Bucephalandra, Java Fern) to rocks or wood.
- Small rock pieces or wood branches together to create larger structures.
Directions for Use
- Preparation: Ensure both surfaces (e.g., the plant’s rhizome and the rock) are clean and free of loose debris.
- Attach Tip: Secure one of the precision tips onto the nozzle of the adhesive bottle.
- Application: Apply a small, thin bead of the gel adhesive directly to the hardscape (rock or wood). Caution: Using too much glue can prevent it from curing properly.
- Securing the Plant: Press the plant or moss firmly onto the adhesive for 10 to 30 seconds.
-
Curing (Activation): The adhesive cures rapidly when exposed to a small amount of moisture. You can:
- Apply a tiny amount of water using a spray bottle before pressing the plant down.
- Dip the entire hardscape item into water for a second after application.
- Alternatively, the gel can be applied underwater, where it cures instantly upon contact with the aquatic environment.
- Disposal: Dispose of the used precision tip once the glue has cured in the nozzle to prevent future blockages.
Safety Notes and Storage
- Skin/Eye Contact: Cyanoacrylate glue is extremely strong and bonds skin instantly. Use with caution. If skin contact occurs, soak immediately in warm, soapy water and gently peel apart. Do not force. Seek medical attention if contact with the eye occurs.
- Fumes: Although the gel is generally low-fuming, ensure adequate ventilation during application, particularly if working out of the water.
- Storage: Store the adhesive tube upright in a cool, dark place (refrigeration is often recommended by manufacturers) to prolong its shelf life and prevent premature curing.
- Cleaning Tips: If a precision tip blocks during use, a small pin or needle can be used to clear the dried adhesive, or simply replace the tip.
